Woodstock was one of our most highly anticipated stops when planning our first New England fall road trip back in 2020.
We knew the small village was going to be attractive but Woodstock completely surpassed our expectations. It really is the quintessential New England postcard cover village.
The state of Vermont is endlessly picturesque and there are countless rural villages to enjoy. But we have to say Woodstock is right up there with the best.
We spent one night at a luxury hotel in Woodstock during our first New England road trip but we plan to spend many more nights in the sleepy village over the next few years.
Why Stay In Woodstock VT?
Woodstock is a quiet, relaxing and charming small town in the center of Vermont.
It is the perfect place to stay when road tripping through Vermont or New England, especially in fall when the colors are just spectacular.
Along with other popular towns such as Burlington, Stowe and Manchester, Woodstock is one of the very best places to visit in Vermont.
Each brings its own characteristics to the table, but Woodstock is surrounded by some of the most stunning photo spots in the entire Green Mountain state.
Woodstock is a place to escape, unwind, read a book, hike easy trails, eat and drink, shop in local independent stores and photograph rural New England.
